Kidsmeet BETT 2016

Travel information

Excel Exhibition Centre

We are pleased to announce that the next KidsMeet BETT has been scheduled for January 23rd 2016. This follows incredibly successful events now being held all over the country! Have a look at this blog to see the learning that took place at one of the previous Kidsmeet events.

WHAT IS IT?

We are inviting groups of students and teachers to meet at the BETT Educational Technology Exhibition on January 23rd at the Excel Centre, East London. The event will start at 11.30am with presentations from children on their favourite projects of the previous school term. They will also be invited to take part in workshops organised by the education technology companies attending the BETT show this year. We will have everything from inventing your own magical Night Zoo animals to developing your coding skills.

We have also planned some time in the day for the students to investigate and report on the world's largest Educational Technology Exhibition. It should be a fantastic and exciting day for all involved!

WHY?

Children will learn valuable skills throughout the day, including social and communication skills as they work in teams with students they meet on the day. They will also hear from a number of technology companies and learn about the complexities involved in building a successful technology business.

HOW MANY ATTENDEES?

We would like to invite 10 schools to bring along 8 students representatives supervised by at least two adults. We would love for parents to come along as well and all schools are encouraged to extend this invitation to all parents and carers. We hope to accommodate a total of 80 children and 20 teachers plus any accompanying adults that would like to attend.

TIMINGS

We would look to start the day in the School Leaders Summit Building in the Excel Exhibition Centre at 11.30am and wrap up by 3.45pm. There will be a short 30 minute lunch break from 1pm.
