Digital Leaders Conference 2015

We are really pleased to announce that the next Digital Leaders Conference will take place at Arden Academy in Solihull on the 20th of March 2015. This follows an incredibly successful event held in Southampton in November 2014 - which was inspired by events in London in Nov 2012, and at BETT in January 2013. WHAT IS IT?

We are inviting groups of Digital Leaders to meet at Arden Academy, for a day of learning and sharing. The event will start at 10.00am with presentations from children on their favourite projects of the previous school term or for new groups plans for the rest of this school year. After the presentations there will be workshops and challenges in cross school groups, with public outcomes and ideas that can be taken back to their own schools and beyond. This event is for older primary school children, as well as secondary digital leader groups.

WHY?

Children will learn valuable skills throughout the day, including social and communication skills as they work in teams with students they meet on the day. They will also hear from a number of technology companies and experts and learn about the complexities involved in building a successful technology business.

HOW MANY ATTENDEES?

We would like to invite up to 10 schools to bring between 4 and 12 Digital Leaders supervised by at least one adult. A total of approx. 100 children and 10 teachers plus any accompanying adults that would like to attend. There is limited parking onsite, please contact eallton@arden.solihull.sch.uk to arrange parking if required.

TIMINGS

The day will start at 10.00am, with a short morning break and then lunch, which is provided by the school and sponsors.

The day will finish at 3pm.
