WHAT IS IT?
We are inviting groups of Digital Leaders to meet at the Wayra UK technology academy and take part in a special Night Zookeeper themed event in partnership with Decoded. Children will start the day by learning about the Night Zookeeper. This will include creative brainstorming tasks to really stimulate their imaginations. They will then move on to learn basic coding skills with Decoded experts and present their learnings to one another at the end of the day.
WHY?
Children will learn valuable skills throughout the day, including social and communication skills as they work in teams with students they meet on the day. They will also hear from a number of technology entrepreneurs and learn how they began programming. Students will find out how they can join coding communities such as Young Rewired State.
HOW MANY ATTENDEES?
We would like to invite 8 schools to bring along 4 representatives supervised by at least one adult. A total of 32 children and 8 teachers plus any accompanying adults that would like to attend.
WHEN AND WHERE?
The event will be held on Friday 23rd November 2012 at the Night Zookeeper office.
