Travel information
We are pleased to announce that the next Digital Leaders Conference will take place at King Edward VI School in Southampton on the 5th of November 2014. This follows an incredibly successful event held in London in Nov 2012, and at BETT in January 2013. Have a look at this blog to see the learning that took place at DLKidsmeet.
WHAT IS IT?
We are inviting groups of Digital Leaders to meet at King Edward VI School, for a day of learning and sharing. The event will start at 10.00am with presentations from children on their favorite projects of the previous school term. After lunch they will head off to undertake challenges in cross school groups, with public outcomes that will have impact in their own institutions and beyond. This event is for older primary school children, as well as secondary digital leader groups.
WHY?
Children will learn valuable skills throughout the day, including social and communication skills as they work in teams with students they meet on the day. They will also hear from a number of technology companies and learn about the complexities involved in building a successful technology business.
HOW MANY ATTENDEES?
We would like to invite 10 schools to bring along 4/5 representatives supervised by at least one adult. A total of 50 children and 10 teachers plus any accompanying adults that would like to attend. There is parking onsite, please contact rlj@kes.hants.sch.uk to arrange parking if required.
TIMINGS
We would look to start the day at King Edward VI School at 10.00am, with a short morning break at 11am and lunch held at 1pm, which is provided by the school and sponsors.
